The Prime Ministers house (according to Andrew...)

Caught the ferry right next to the Opera House. Andrew and I in the reflection.

Andrew to Me: "You're not going to start taking pictures of everything and embarrass me are you? I feel as if I should be faking an accent."

I like his shoes..

Pulling out honey with a stick.

Our view while we were having lunch!!

Leopard seal

One of the worlds rarest plants,
Wollemia nobilis. Belongs to the ancient family Araucariaceae, common when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Discovered in 1994. Only 38 trees found in the wild.

Later that day, I took the train from Sydney down to Bomaderry. On the train ride down, I saw the moon rising over the ocean. Beautiful, but I didn't bring my camera. A grad student here at UOW picked me up to help with some fieldwork. On our way from the train station to the cabin, there were two kangaroos and a rabit on the side of the road. I had to laugh a little when he got excited about seeing the rabit...
We stayed in a tiny cabin on a campground somewhere in Jervis Bay. It was $1 for a 5 minute shower, so he hadn't showered for a few days. I agreed that $1 was too much to spare =). Had diner, studied some Spanish, watched some Aussie TV, Alien 3, and went to bed (I didn't have to stay on the floor this time!).
Got up at 5ish if I remember right (all I remember is that it was too early) to go check the traps he had set the day before in Batemans Bay. He set 27 traps in 5 different locations. All I had to do was go around and collect the traps. Clean out and fold up ones with no animals, and bring the others with animals to him so he could collect his data. When I was done collecting, I became the "data recorder." Oh yeah, and it rained that day, so my other job duty was to keep the data sheets dry.
And... got an 85% on my big ecology report! Another high distinction for me (85%-100%, so I just made it)!
